About

Hi, I'm Whitney.
Wife to a soldier. Fur mom. Photographer. Mommy-to-be to a baby boy.
I currently live in northern Tennessee, near Fort Campbell.
I spent about 20 years living in north Alabama.

I met my husband the summer between my freshman and sophomore year of college. I had just transferred from Jacksonville State university to The University of Alabama in Huntsville. It was a couple of weeks before the semester was due to start and a high school friend was showing me around campus. She also introduced me to some guys from her two favorite fraternities. She led me into the Pi Kappa Alpha chapter room and soon after, my future husband walked in. We exchanged a little bit of flirtation and that night I left knowing there was just something about that guy.
A few days later I was invited to return to his fraternity house to play volleyball and surprise surprise, he showed up as well. I hung out with him and his brothers all day and that night he decided to ask for my number (because he couldn't remember my name). From that night on we were inseparable. I began pledging Kappa Delta Sorority soon after the semester began. About 6 months later I got to take part in a very special greek tradition. My sweet boyfriend lavaliered me! Right around our one year anniversary, he proposed!

Well, the world turned upside down a little bit and we were forced to make some pretty big decisions. We ended up deciding it would be best if we went ahead and just tied the knot! We knew just three months into our relationship that we wanted to spend the rest of our lives together, so what was stopping us now?
Soon after, the Army borrowed him for about 8 months. In the meantime, I planned our pretty little wedding with a white dress, cake and alcohol!
Just three days later we moved from north Alabama to Fort Campbell. After almost two weeks we found a home and began settling in. It wasn't too long before we decided we wanted to start a family.
We were incredibly lucky to be able to conceive in about 2 and a half months.
We are currently awaiting the arrival of our little boy, due May 4th.
